Information Technology Support Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support to all IT internal customers related to computer systems, hardware, or software. They respond to queries, isolate problems, and determine/implement solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to technical support requests submitted via telephone, email, and automated tickets using remote access tools, and onsite troubleshooting
• Work independently to research and resolve complex technical issues
• Employ knowledge of Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems to solve presented issues
• Disaster Recovery solutions
• Network Support: WAN and LAN connectivity, Meraki routers, firewalls, and security
• Utilize and support remote access solutions: VPN, Terminal Services
• Monitor issues, perform system documentation, maintenance, and review in the help desk management system
• Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
• Google Workspace
• Google Chromebook management - Provisioning, submitting warranty, troubleshooting, and tracking inventory of all Chromebooks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2-year Technical and/or Computer Science degree or relevant recent certifications including a Microsoft certification
• 2-4 years of Entry Level Systems Administration/System Engineer experience
• Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (Preferred)
• Technical support experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
• Meraki firewall/router experience (preferred)

Must have experience with both Microsoft Suite (Dell desktop / Lenovo laptops) AND Google Workspace (Chromebooks)!
