Inside Media Sales Development Manager

Velocity is a fast-paced company with an open-door environment looking to add an experienced Inside Media Sales Development Manager to our sales team. Velocity Media Solutions (VMS) is part of Velocity Digital, focusing on the advertising sales across VMS networks of 26,000 locations and 38,000 venues including: Cinema Lobbies, Grocery Stores, Hotel Lobbies, Bars, C-Stores, and Retail Centers.

This is a strategic media sales development management role focused on growing VMS advertising revenue through prospecting, qualifying, and outreaching. This is a full-time remote salaried position.

  • Build and execute a sales prospecting strategy leveraging tools for research and outreach.
  • Flexible and able to pivot with a large and growing network of media.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with VMS Leadership to develop an outreach and prospecting strategy for potential VMS advertising customers.
  • Research databases of Winmo, Vivix/Kantar, LinkedIn (and others) to identify appropriate prospects and contacts.
  • Partner with VMS Planning to develop and customize outreach communication for prospects.
  • Collaborate with VMS Leadership to assist in the development of customized call strategies and messaging for prospects.
  • Execute high volume prospecting outreach (100+) per week via email, social media, phone, and other methods to solicit RFP’s and increase pipeline that result in incremental advertising revenue.
  • Engage prospects through friendly, professional, and engaging communication that results in a qualified lead, resulting in RFP request or meeting/call with VMS leadership.
  • Utilize our CRM system as well as our project management tool Asana to manage outreach activity in an efficient manner.
  • Assist in sales presentations, content (social media and email) proposals, rate card, and other sales & marketing needs as requested.

Qualifications, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Two – five years of inside sales experience preferably in media, with a focus on dealing brands and agencies.
  • Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Hubspot), Project Management (e.g., Asana), Sales Lead (e.g., Winmo), Ad Spending (Vivix/Kantar), as well as Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience is working with social media, such as LinkedIn for content creation and outreach.
  • Demonstrated success in a goal oriented and highly accountable sales environment.
  • Superior communication skills, including face-to-face presentations, phone, and email.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically along with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Desire to build something new within an existing company.
  • Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical.
  • Creative, analytical, and driven individual to serve as a strategic advisor with a solution- focused approach.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to be autonomous, adaptable, and readily available to fulfill multiple tasks.
