Job Description
This position is located in the Unemployment Insurance Division and will serve as an Unemployment Insurance (UI) Claims Examiner for the UI Operations Department. Incumbent is responsible for issuing non-monetary decisions that determine claimant eligibility for UI Benefits in accordance with South Carolina Law, Rules and Regulations. Determinations require timely completion of fact-finding interviews and related correspondence with claimants, employers, or other interested parties.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and relevant training and experience; OR any equivalent combination of education, relevant training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to interpret and apply Laws, Rules, and Regulations that govern the administration of UI Benefits. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while complying with applicable Policies and Procedures. Ability to communicate clearly, timely, and effectively in written and oral form.
