International Logistics Manager

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an International Logistics Manager for one of our St. Louis, MO clients.

This is a Direct Hire, hybrid position, candidate must be local to St. Louis, MO area.

The purpose of the International Logistics Manager role is to collaborate closely with Procurement, Projects, and Sales teams to facilitate efficient and economical import and/or export of raw materials and finished goods. This role involves managing the technical aspects of international transportation across different modes, intricate documentation, and diverse customs regulations. It also includes cultivating relationships with logistics partners and serving as a specialist in managing over-dimensional and project cargo shipments globally.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ yrs' experience in:

· Oversee the performance and relationships with domestic and international carriers, freight forwarders, and freight brokers, with a deep understanding of compliance regulations and international security standards for transportation and freight for U.S. laws in regard to import/exporting activity.

· Manage and implement process and cost improvements tailored to project-specific transportation requirements across multiple modes.

· This critical role entails leading global logistics operations, enhancing coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and spearheading cost-saving initiatives throughout international operations.

· Manage all aspects of inbound and outbound transportation, including carrier selection, negotiation of rates, and route optimization

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customs officials

· Analyze logistics data and identify opportunities for improvement

· Assists the Sales department by devising logistics strategies and procedures to penetrate new and established global markets.

· Up to 15 % travel required

Requirements:

5-8 years' experience in a similar or equivalent role

2+ years' as a Team Manager or Lead

Bachelors Degree or Higher business management, supply chain management, logistics, or a related degree.
