Our client is a well-established Single Family Office (SFO) administering the investments and financial interests of multigenerational family members.
Responsibilities Of The Investment Analyst/VP, Finance
Assist senior executives in management of client portfolios (direct investments, buy and hold strategy in large cap stocks)
Generate and maintain list of potential public equity investments through fundamental analysis and financial modeling
Track, report, benchmark, and evaluate asset performance
Build and supplement investment procedures to improve efficient management and monitoring of portfolio
Analyze and monitor asset allocation to ensure alignment with portfolio priorities
Prepare memos, reports, summaries, and visual aids for senior executives and clients
Compile and internally distribute summaries of relevant market news and projections
Identify investment themes or market changes as potential opportunity or risk
Assist internal tracking, reporting, benchmarking and evaluation of client investment portfolios
Supplement portfolio management and trade settlement function as needed.
Assist with individual and trust investment policies, objects and priorities
Assist internal and external professionals with strategic tax and estate planning and compliance
Help internal prep and review of individual and trust federal and state income and gift tax returns
Assist with tax and financial projections and related planning
Speak with and advise ultra-high-net-worth clients (family members) as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications of the Investment Analyst/VP, Finance:
Professional certification or degree (CPA, MBA, CFA, CFP)
7-plus years as an investment analyst responsible for direct investments in public equities (large cap) with a Single Family Office (SFO), Multi-Family Office (MFO), Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), investment firm, hedge fund etc. High net worth client experience not required.
Strong understanding of public equity investments required; buy and hold investment philosophy/income-focused portfolio with long-term growth
Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analysis skills, including financial modeling and fundamental analysis abilities.
In-depth understanding of investment and financial reporting
Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite
A plus: Proficient in portfolio, financial, and investment performance software (BNA Tax Planner, Portfolio Center-Tamarac ) and accounting software (Accounting CS )
Experience wearing many hats and comfortable working within a small office that values collaboration, a proactive and positive demeanor
Experience working with high-net-worth clients and trust tax returns, estate planning a plus
