The American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF) is the charitable organization affiliated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), America’s pro-Israel lobby. AIEF sponsors week-long seminars for members of Congress, congressional staff, and political influentials. The Israel Seminars Assistant will assist the Israel Seminars Director in coordinating trips, keeping updated alumni records, sending communications, and managing finances.

AIEF sponsors week-long seminars for members of Congress, congressional staff, and political influentials. The Israel Seminars Assistant will assist the Israel Seminars Director in coordinating trips, keeping updated alumni records, sending communications, and managing finances.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Israel Seminars Director to plan and execute AIEF Israel seminars
- Maintain organized files of trip materials including contracts, financial documents, and ethics data
- Serve as point person for trip recommendations, invitations, RSVPs, travel, and logistical information for prospective participants
- Prepare pre-trip briefing materials for participants
- Update and manage the AIEF app used on each Israel Seminar
- Assist with upkeep of alumni database
- Assist with AIEF alumni events, and other national events as needed
- Manage expenses for the Israel Seminars Director
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
- Passion for Israel, and the U.S.- Israel relationship
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field
- Familiarity with U.S. politics, Congress, and foreign policy preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with colleagues, donors, board members, congressional staff, and political leaders
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Interest and aptitude for learning new technology: Salesforce and Marketing Cloud experience preferred
- Experience with Excel strongly preferred
- Fastidious attention to detail
- Demonstrated research and writing ability
