An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised, personable, and enthusiastic IT Support Specialist to join a dynamic litigation boutique based in the Financial District, Manhattan. The successful candidate will work alongside the firm's leadership and outside IT consultant to install and maintain office technology systems, develop and implement information security policies and procedures, research and deploy new software programs, and evaluate the technology needs of the office.
What You'll Do
As an IT Support Specialist at our firm, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological landscape. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of technology support within the firm while ensuring that our information security standards are upheld. Your role will involve working closely with senior management to identify potential improvements in our current practices while also evaluating our hardware and software requirements. You will also collaborate with external vendors to ensure that any technical issues are swiftly resolved. In addition to this, you will oversee all IT Security policies within the firm while also performing regular audits to ensure compliance.
Coordinate overall technology support and information security within the firm
Identify potential improvements in technology and firm practices; evaluate hardware and software requirements for the office
Develop and update practices and procedures relating to technology, including IT security policies and relevant employee policies
Collaborate with senior management and outside vendors to research, test, deploy, document, and upgrade new and existing hardware and software
Work with existing outside IT consultant, as well as other technology vendors for resolution of technical issues related to desktops, laptops, phones, video-conference equipment, printers, network, systems, and/or related hardware problems
Oversee all IT Security policies and functions; enforce firm policies; monitor information security; perform regular audits
Develop a knowledge of Firm’s total technology environment and the quality management of all processes and practices
Perform installation and changes to office layout for PCs, software, printers, phones, and network components
What You Bring
The ideal candidate for the IT Support Specialist role will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Legal Studies or related fields; or significant relevant experience. With at least 3 years of experience providing IT/Litigation support in a law firm setting, you will be well-versed in configuring, installing, and supporting hardware connectivity components of user laptops, workstations, VoIP phones. Your excellent troubleshooting skills will enable you to quickly resolve moderately complex issues or suggest alternative solutions. Experience with desktop operating systems and office applications, specifically Windows 10 and Office 365 is essential.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Legal Studies, or related fields; or significant relevant experience
At least 3 years’ experience providing IT/Litigation support in a law firm setting.
Knowledge of configuring, installing, supporting hardware connectivity components of user laptops, workstations, VoIP phones
Excellent troubleshooting skills related to desktop computer hardware/software demonstrating ability to quickly resolve moderately complex issues or suggest alternative solutions.
Experience with desktop operating systems and office applications, specifically Windows 10 and Office 365
Ability to provide excellent service, understanding user needs and expectations.
Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
