Japanese Interpreter/Translator

Macon, GA

Direct Hire Position

Salary: $60K-63K

Must be willing to relocate and work onsite in Macon, GA

Description

SAFETY:

• Understand and follow all safety procedures!
• Current on all safety trainings
• Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
• Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
  
  

Skills

• Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a same language by converting one spoken or written language to another (English and Japanese).
• Convert, edit, and proofread written materials from one language into another accurately.
• Attending meetings and conferences to translate, take notes, and write a meeting minute.
• Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs.
• Supporting the project team by performing other duties whenever it is necessary.
  
  

Knowledge

• Fluency in both English and Japanese
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior interpreter experience with spoken word preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and especially Excel
• Strong organization skills
• Previous work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role in manufacturing environment.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
• Must be able to work in a plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
• Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25 pounds.
