Junior Designer

We have an opening for a Junior Designer to join our dynamic team and help us continue to push the boundaries of packaging design.

We seek a passionate and talented entry level designer. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their design and brand strategy skills, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to impactful brand projects. The Junior Designer will create deliverables that align with our client's branding and marketing goals.

Tasks/ Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation and production of design assets for various projects, including branding, packaging, digital media, and print
• Create Tight Art Renderings in Illustrator
• Ability to render in 3D, digital mock-ups
• Strong command of visual design capabilities, including composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography, and color judgement
• Produce print-ready final art files for final production
• Work directly with the Art Director, Project Managers, and Creative Team
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas and perspectives. Assist in preparing design presentations and client deliverables
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in design
• Support the team in maintaining project timelines and meeting deadlines
• Able to follow client style guides

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• 1-2 years of professional design experience (internships included)
• Knowledge of the print process and die lines
• Proficiency in:
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Presentation tools like Microsoft PowerPoint
• Mac platform
• A passion for good design, including typography, color palettes, layout, and attention to detail.
• Must-have portfolio and proven experience in designing packaging (paper box, blister cards, etc.) (PLEASE SUBMIT PORTFOLIO ONLINE OR PDF)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and creative environment, all the while maintaining an enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines

Required Experience:

• Design experience: 1-2 years in an agency or in-house art department
• Adobe Illustrator: 1-2 years
• Adobe Photoshop: 1-2 years
• Pencil/digital illustration skills are a plus
• Photography skills a plus
• Package design experience a plus
