Position Overview

The Information Technology team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Lead IT Applications to join the SAP COE team! The person in this role works with the Manager IT Applications and is responsible for providing direction and oversight to the solution design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the Inbound and Outbound Logistics Execution and Procurement areas of SAP. This position also has a key role in the ongoing global deployment and effective utilization of SAP S/4 in support of Novelis’ operational excellence and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Partners with business to understand requirements and priorities of the business within the workstream.
• Evaluates business requirements and translates requirements into robust technical solutions
• Leads project activities within workstream
• Serves as a design authority for the SAP solutions in Logistics Execution and Procurement
• Assesses solution options and makes decisions about application changes, including but not limited to business-driven change requests and new project requirements.
• Governs changes between the production and project environment.
• Ensures alignment to organization and project standards.
• Supports effective management of external partners, including planning and review of change requests to be delivered by the offshore team within workstream.
• Some domestic and international travel may be required
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience in information Technology or Engineering
• 6-8 years working with SAP’s Inbound and Outbound Logistics Execution (LE), Materials Management (MM), Procurement (MM-Proc)
• Previous experience in a Discrete Manufacturing environment
• Comfortable being viewed as a functional guide in the Logistics Execution and Procurement process areas
• Guide in integration of SAP LE processes with production planning/execution, quality management, and manufacturing execution level 3 processes
• Technical expertise with interface design and management between SAP LE/MM and peripheral systems, e.g., MES or equivalent experience and TMS systems
• Exposure to work with middleware systems as TIBCO or MuleSoft.
• Expertise with electronic communication applying standard SAP IDOCs
• Global exposure and/or experience working within a highly matrixed organization
• Participated in at least 2 full lifecycle SAP ECC or S/4 implementation projects and filled a team lead role in at least one of these projects
• Expertise with the design and activations of Fiori Apps.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the Metals or Commodity manufacturing industry
• Understands working in a Batch Management and Configurable Material environment highly desired
• The incumbent is or has been an SAP LE/MM Team Lead in more than one full lifecycle SAP project
• Detailed understanding of SAP Inventory Management and Warehouse Management
• Have worked in an SAP S/4HANA IT project or support environment.
• Knowledge of and Experience with SAP FIORI capabilities in the Logistics Execution and Materials Management areas
• Has been a member of an SAP Center of Excellence at a previous employer
• APICS Certification (CPIM) or equivalent
