Legislative - Temporary Staff
is seeking sharp, political, PR, media, and public affairs temporary staff for a variety of assignments in the Washington DC metro area.
We seek candidates who are politically savvy and have experience in at least one of the following: campaigns, Congress, the Executive Branch, or in a legislative capacity.
Ideal candidates for these roles should have experience in government affairs/government relations, lobbying, advocacy, legislative tracking, or legislative correspondence. Former Chiefs of Staff, Legislative Directors, Legislative Assistants, Legislative Correspondents, Lobbyists, and Program Assistants are encouraged to apply.
PoliTemps places candidates in temporary, temp to perm, and permanent positions.
Assignments fall within a range of duties and responsibilities, depending on the candidates’ experience and the specific needs of the client.
Admin, clerical, research, legislative research and tracking, event support, social media and content publishing, public relations, and media relations are examples of some of the assignments we have filled.
Applicants must live in the Washington DC metro area, be open and flexible to a variety of assignments, and be available to work 30-40 hours/week. You must be available for temporary assignments and currently not working in a permanent position or interning.
Political Science, Government, and Communications majors are encouraged to apply.
Our clients include blue-chip corporations, nonprofits, lobbying firms, political consultants, PR agencies, and a variety of other organizations in the Washington DC metro area.
Candidates must be comfortable in an office and professional environment, and adept with a variety of computer programs and software. Candidates must possess a “can-do” attitude and be eager to work.
