This position is primarily responsible for analyzing financial risks and then developing, implementing, and carrying out strategies to address the identified risks. Key risks include, but not limited to, foreign currencies, interest rates and equity. The incumbent will measure, analyze, monitor, and influence exposures globally. You should be able to articulate financial concepts, evaluate, recommend, and implement new strategies with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities
Manage, evaluate, and mitigate financial risk.
Set consistent framework, partnering with key stakeholders, for market risk across the company.
Enhance policies, procedures, and corporate governance.
Identify and assess exposure, build mitigation plans and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Facilitate commodity hedging and related recommendations and/or market analysis.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of all financial derivatives.
Assist with assessment of, election of, and/or any other requirements of ASC 815 (FAS 133) hedge accounting to ensure accurate accounting and settlement of derivative transactions.
Manage banking counterparties from a market risk, pricing, and overall relationship.
Leverage reports, processes, and systems to enhance risk reporting and analytics capabilities.
High-level understanding of various functions across the organization, including their interdependence on risk management objectives.
Communicate risk management requirements to businesses and advise them on risk matters.
Ensure compliance on all regulatory matters (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience working with an ERP system
Microsoft Office Suite capabilities are essential (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
7+ years of relevant experience in multinational manufacturing corporation
Ability to gain consensus among diverse stakeholders and drive initiatives to completion
Comfort working with complex financial topics and products
Strong analytical abilities and financial modelling skills
Confident, able to articulate proposals, influence, and excellent negotiation skills on financial matters, balancing technical expertise with the ability to recognize the larger commercial picture
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and complete deliverables on a timely basis
Self-starter, requiring little guidance or supervision
