The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on Keysight’s campus in Colorado Springs, CO exists to provide high precision mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Keysight’s industry leading electronic measurement equipment.
Responsibilities
As a manufacturing engineer, you will develop and sustain manufacturing processes utilizing cutting edge technologies to achieve micron level tolerances in precision machining operations. You will work in close partnership with the R&D central campus in Santa Rosa, CA to push the envelopes of technology in microwave and mm wave applications. You will support ultra-precision turning and milling operations, with investigations and optimizations of tooling, machining process, and process flow to optimize performance. Duties include: continuous improvement, analysis of DFM, process tooling design, troubleshooting process issues, Root cause analysis, process documentation creation and maintenance.
Keysight is looking for an individual who is self-motivated, analytical, organized, detail oriented and assertive. This position requires that you drive our production improvement initiatives, with focus on quality. While not having management responsibility, it is expected for the placement to display professional behavior. You must also be a team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural fast paced environment.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or applicable science, 4-5+ years of applicable experience in (precision machining, manufacturing, and design [part, tool, and/or process]). This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, engineering theory, and a hands-on approach to manufacturing.

Colorado Pay Range: USD $89,000.00 - USD $149,000.00 Year

Qualifications
Required:

This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, engineering theory, and a hands-on approach to manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in and/or lead diverse cross-functional teams
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of Swiss-Style machining and Milling
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize day to day activities balancing immediate needs with long term project goals
- Solid modeling experience
- Experience with mechanical electronic products
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA or other quality tools
- CNC machining experience (G-code and Tooling Design)
- Master’s or PhD degree
- Solid Modeling experience with Siemens NX, and TeamCenter
- CNC machining experience (G-code and Tooling Design)
- Advanced Metrology Experience (Optical, CMM, Surface Profilometer)
- Familiarity with RF, microwave, and mm wave applications
