Manufacturing Supervisor

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for providing adequate support to all manufacturing areas with increased volume and growth.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting and developing the entire manufacturing or assembly team, including a minimum of four Team Leaders and fifty Team Members
  • Manage all aspects of Assembly/Manufacturing including planning, organizing, staffing, etc.
  • Responsible for meeting production requirements while also meeting performance metrics in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost

Nature & Scope

Reports to Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.

High school diploma

3-5 years of previous manufacturing experience

Three years in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field

5 – 7 years of assembly experience in a related industry

5 years in a leadership role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to use creative problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and self-directed
  • Ability to multi-task whie maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Ability to be flexible with work activities
  • Ability to give direction well either verbal or written

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to overtime, Saturday and/or Sunday work.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions.
  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.
  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed.
  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force.
  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.
