As a Market Intelligence Analyst, you will partner closely with our external third-party data vendors (spread across the globe) and internal Data Analytics & Services team (based in India) to deliver weekly and monthly market intelligence reporting for Client 1P hardware products (Pixel phones, Tablets, Watches, Trackers, and Nest Smart Home).
You will also engage with business stakeholders on requests for market intelligence analyses and insights pertaining to timely business decision making needs.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities
Market Intelligence reporting - Manage a full suite of market intelligence reporting for Client 1P hardware product categories, including weekly and monthly market share trackers, newsletters, dashboards, and senior executive and Board-level presentations.
Data analysis and insights - Manage ad-hoc requests from the business for Market Intelligence data and insights, leveraging existing market data to surface valuable insights to our business stakeholders.
Data infrastructure management - Partner with the Market Intelligence Data Analytics & Services team (MIDAS) based in India to build, refine, and scale the back-end infrastructure for market data, necessary for all aspects of market Client reporting.
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications
Data analysis, reporting and synthesis.
Familiarity with Client database & reporting systems (PLX, F1, SQL, Looker). Strong abilities writing moderately complex SQL scripts and creating BI reporting dashboards using Client suite of tools (Looker)
Problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to take a general problem statement, identify the steps needed to analyze and answer the question, and synthesize the results
Superior communication skills (both written and oral), including the ability to tailor messaging across a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience distilling complex market trends from both quantitative and qualitative data sources, into actionable business recommendations
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications
Industry knowledge a plus (smartphone, and consumer electronics in general)
Experience working in consulting, buy-side analytics and/or data analytics a plus
