We are seeking a qualified medical physicist to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality medical imaging and radiation therapy services. The medical physicist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation treatments, as well as developing and implementing quality control procedures for imaging equipment. Responsibilities will also include conducting radiation surveys, calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of medical physics principles and practices, as well as experience working with radiation therapy and medical imaging equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the safe and accurate delivery of radiation treatments
Developing and implementing quality control procedures for imaging equipment
Conducting radiation surveys and maintaining accurate records
Calibrating and maintaining radiation therapy and imaging equipment
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes
Participating in research and development activities to advance medical physics practices
Qualifications
Master's or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related field
Board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent
Experience working in a clinical setting preferred
Strong understanding of radiation therapy and medical imaging principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in medical physics
