JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for complete and accurate quality electronic document scanning. Performs quality review of scanned documents to ensure integrity and legality of the electronic medical record. Reviews scanned documents for overall image quality and performs a page by page reconciliation of paper document to imaged document. Responsible for the index of all documents to the appropriate patient folder and ensuring each document is assigned the appropriate document name. Assists with providing coverage in other areas of the department such as document preparation/scanning, physician chart completion; transcription maintenance and release of information.

Essential Functions

• Team Member Demonstrates professionalism as a member of the HIM Department.
• Quality Batch Review Reviews scanned documents for overall image quality and performs a page by page reconciliation of paper document to imaged document.
• Index & Validation Index all documents to the appropriate patient folder and ensuring each document is assigned the appropriate document name and location.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills. Degree or HS Diploma not required. Experience: 1-3 years.
