We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Molding / Casting / Foundry Manager to join our dynamic, well-established team. This role is ideal for an individual who has a passion for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring optimum performance and product quality while fostering a positive work environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overall management of our molding operations. You will have 4 direct reports (Supervisors) and 45 indirect reports across 3 shifts. Your primary duties will include

• Overseeing the daily operations of the molding department, ensuring all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Conducting regular performance reviews to assess employee productivity and identify areas for improvement.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Working closely with other department managers to ensure coordination and cooperation across all areas of production.
• Ensuring all safety and health regulations are strictly adhered to, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
• Training and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Troubleshooting any issues that arise in the molding processes, implementing solutions promptly to minimize downtime.
• Regularly reporting on department performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry, specifically in molding, casting, or foundry environment.
• Proven experience conducting performance reviews and implementing strategies to improve productivity and quality.
• Strong knowledge of molding processes, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and mentor a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• A strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Manufacturing is preferred.
• Passion for this work and desire to be a great leader within a collaborative organization.
