  • Estimated hourly base pay: $27.40 (minimum) - $34.23 (midpoint) - $41.06 (maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re an experienced professional in machining and/or manufacturing and is open for 2nd shift hours, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Operations Specialist for Turbine Systems Gas Machining supports production from a technical standpoint and understands the product being produced in the area. It is the first line of defense for production related issues. The position solves minor to moderate manufacturing problems and works with members to implement process and product improvements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Implements lean tools in a team setting. Drives process improvements. Organizes cell/area in 5S
  • Resolves problems on the manufacturing floor and assists in Root Cause Analysis
  • Recommends and implements process improvements for new product introductions and/or existing manufacturing processes
  • Identifies mistakes on various manufacturing documents and provides redlines to engineering
  • Writes and releases new work instructions and other manufacturing documentation. Revises existing work instructions and other manufacturing documentation
  • Evaluates new tooling for application to current designs
  • Recommends and implements revisions of methods of operation or material handling, alterations in equipment layout or other changes to increase production or improve standards
  • Dispositions standard nonconformance's (i.e. QNs/NCRs/ATRs)
  • Machining Specific Functions: Solid implementation of manufacturing processes and/or solid design and implementation of Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming and 2. Solid interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition

What We Are Looking For

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing/machining environment
  • Solid knowledge of applicable machining processes including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming
  • Solid knowledge of cutting tools and machine capability
  • Solid interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition
  • Maintains rework processes for manufacturing
