We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Refractive Technician that is detail oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required. $3,000 sign-on bonus upon offer (terms & conditions apply).
Facilitate office-based refractive surgical procedures, specializing in advanced techniques like LASIK and PRK.
Provide comprehensive support to patients undergoing procedures, including assistance with drops, addressing queries, and alleviating concerns.
Extend a warm and professional welcome to patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
Gather detailed patient histories efficiently, ensuring all pertinent information is documented accurately.
Conduct precise assessments of visual acuity to inform treatment plans effectively.
Skillfully perform manifest refractions to refine vision correction needs.
Utilize advanced technology to obtain intraocular pressure measurements and other diagnostic data.
Conduct a range of diagnostic tests with expertise, leveraging cutting-edge equipment such as OCT, VF, Pentacam, Lenstar, and Fundus cameras to provide comprehensive evaluations.
Experience with refractive surgery such as LASIK and PRK.
Strong Refractometry Skills.
Allegretto Wave Laser Certification.
C.O.A. / C.O.T. / C.O.M.T. certification.
Excellent English verbal and written communication.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be willing to travel between offices
