Pacific Eye is seeking a friendly, dependable individual with exceptional communication skills. This individual is responsible for daily Optical dispensary operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience as dispensing optician preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist patients with Eyewear and Contact lens ordering. Collection of payments.
Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Educate patients on the Frame and Lens options that best suit their prescription needs.
Ensure proper measurements and fit for all eyewear orders.
Educate patients appropriately on the adaptation of new eyewear and prescription.
Explain and educate patients on their Vision insurance pricing.
Use Optical tools, lensometer, and perform eyewear quality checks.
Assist with patient eyewear repairs and adjustments.
The ability to teach patients Contact lens wear is helpful but not required.
Maintain patient care by assisting and communicating with patients in a timely manner. Display excellent patient care skills.
Maintain Optical dispensary. Will include cleaning and restocking.
Some ability to understand eye disease and how it can affect vision is beneficial.
Complete nightly deposits
Other duties as assigned.
Pay:
$19 to $22 per hour DOE
Travel:
It may be necessary to travel and work in satellite offices. Employees must maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
Physical Capabilities:
Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.)
Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Frequent, prolonged standing/sitting/walking
Must be able to see, hear, and respond adequately
Extensive computer work
Frequent use of telephone, scanners, and fax
Full-time hourly position.
