SUMMARY: Our Private Client Services team provides complex, sophisticated services to individuals, charitable organizations and fiduciaries. The Paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys in all phases of trust and estate administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


• Serves as main point of contact for the maintenance and upkeep of the Private Client Services department document database (“Will Vault”)

• Processes incoming original documents by verifying completeness; sorts, codes and stores original documents according to Will Vault procedures

• Assists with estate administration projects including large estate tax filings (preparing returns, exhibit assembly, certified mail, etc.)

• Assists with annual gift tax filings (maintenance of gift tax return ledger, extension preparation and filing, exhibit assembly, certified mail, etc.)

• Assists with trust administration projects including annual client notice letters

• Prepares required reports/disclosures in connection with Corporate Transparency Act compliance

• Prepares probate related documents

• Coordinates life insurance premium payments

• Assists with capital calls and completing subscription documents

• Will also be expected to communicate with clients and intermediaries directly in connection with trust and estate administration matters


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Interested in career-oriented candidates with at least 3 years of related experience and a strong desire to further their career in the trust and estates field.

• Highly organized, detail oriented, industrious and well-rounded

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet tight deadlines.

• Strong mathematical aptitude and strong Excel skills.

• A commitment to providing excellent client service required

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required.
