Essential Job Functions

The Washington, D.C. office is looking for a Paralegal-I for our IP Litigation Group. Paralegal-I’s generally have 2+ years of IP Litigation experience and most often work under the supervision and direction of Senior Paralegals and/or Advisors. They help manage and organize the materials and information relating to particular matters and transactions and are able to independently see projects through to completion. These duties allow them the opportunity to help in preparing for depositions, due diligence investigations, document productions, hearings, and trials. The projects typically involve data and document management and organizational tasks, and may require long hours and travel. We use some of the latest technology available for electronically managing documents and information, and we strongly encourage staff to take advantage of our extensive software training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree; 2+ years of IP Litigation experience, ABA Certified Paralegal Certificate preferred, but not necessary; ITC experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: strong coordination and teamwork skills; planning and organization skills, including the ability to manage a number of projects concurrently; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; proactive approach and the ability to work "hands-on" as required; strong problem-solving skills; proficiency in the use of software, including Word and Excel.
