Payroll Associate Director

My client, a Quantitative Asset Manager, is seeking an individual Associate Director of Payroll to join their high-growth, fast-paced Finance and Administration team in Boston, MA. This is a highly impactful position of the payroll function for a Boston-based employee workforce and a small set of geographically dispersed employees (Canada). The ideal candidate for this position should be hands-on and have strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processes, must have familiarity with payroll benefits and taxes, and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles
• Ensure administration of payroll transactions are timely and accurate
• Assist with the preparation and audit of payroll transactions
• Ensure the new hires, terminations, transfers and promotions are reflected accurately and timely within the Payroll processing system (ADP Workforce Now)
• Serve as a key employee contact to resolve payroll issues

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience handling all aspects of payroll administration in a complex organization, ideally within financial services
• CPP Certification is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel)
• Experience with processing US payroll via ADP Workforce Now required
• Experience processing Canada payroll is a plus
