My client, a Quantitative Asset Manager, is seeking an individual Associate Director of Payroll to join their high-growth, fast-paced Finance and Administration team in Boston, MA. This is a highly impactful position of the payroll function for a Boston-based employee workforce and a small set of geographically dispersed employees (Canada). The ideal candidate for this position should be hands-on and have strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processes, must have familiarity with payroll benefits and taxes, and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Responsibilities:
Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles
Ensure administration of payroll transactions are timely and accurate
Assist with the preparation and audit of payroll transactions
Ensure the new hires, terminations, transfers and promotions are reflected accurately and timely within the Payroll processing system (ADP Workforce Now)
Serve as a key employee contact to resolve payroll issues
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience handling all aspects of payroll administration in a complex organization, ideally within financial services
CPP Certification is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel)
Experience with processing US payroll via ADP Workforce Now required
Experience processing Canada payroll is a plus
