Greensboro Plant Manager

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Exempt

Overview

Our Plant Manager is responsible for creating, developing and establishing operations processes and procedures so that they meet the organization's overall business objectives and deliver customer value. The incumbent will drive a lean transformation process to enhance the customer’s experience. Our Plant Manager will possess a strong business acumen to support the commercial team in achieving Camco’s growth potential. They will build and develop customer relationships to promote Camco products, support sales growth, and ensure customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee safe plant operations to ensure employees’ safety.
  • Develop and support customer on-time in full (OTIF) expectations through operational excellence
  • Promote and lead a culture focused on well-being and centered on delivering customer excellence
  • Develop the team in the acquisition of new skills, new processes and provide support to elevate the team’s performance in customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement standard work to ensure efficient production of customer value
  • Develop and support plans to mature the lean management systems
  • Lead the maturation of managing for daily improvement (MDI)
  • Coordinate and manage the team's activities: creating and improving existing processes, management of improvements, and organization of activities and priorities
  • Lead/participate in practical problem-solving methodology to properly address problem resolution
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve operational YOY productivity gains
  • Ensure alignment with Sales, Finance, Engineering and Supply Chain to support monthly SIOP process
  • Develop operations budgets that align to business AOP targets
  • Support an Omni Supply Chain to support growth initiatives.
  • Ensure data driven countermeasures for operational issues

Qualifications

  • 7 – 10 years of cross-functional expertise and management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Building effective teams and strong employee engagement
  • Strong lean experience with the ability the ability to transfer knowledge.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Develop and manage vision and purpose.
  • Knowledge of latest safety laws and regulations
  • Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations
  • Good problem-solving abilities
