We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our manufacturing facility in New Albany, IN. The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading a team of machinists, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure safe, efficient, and effective product manufacturing, exceptional customer satisfaction, and profitable business operations. - You would be responsible for overseeing the general practices of the shop in all aspects from machining, assembly, fabrication, and maintenance
- Facilitate and run regular production meetings with all plant departments to discuss work load, scheduling and priorities
- Work closely with Director of HR and HR Assistant regardingall shop personnel issues and opportunities such as hiring, firing, and performance appraisal

Duties And Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the shop, overseeing all aspects of daily operations to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled technicians and administrative staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes for manufactured products including scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all manufactured products meet industry standards and customer specifications. Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest level of quality and reliability.
- Financial Management: Implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices in workplace health and safety.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and efficiency enhancements. Implement initiatives to optimize operations, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Negotiate favorable terms and agreements to support business objectives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and performance metrics on key operational and financial indicators. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience considered
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of product manufacturing processes, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial management.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
