We are looking for a self-motivated and results-oriented CEO to direct and manage one of our business units in North America. This role is accountable for building and leading a team to deliver sustainable growth and profitability for the business unit. The successful candidate will possess abilities and experience to fulfill duties that include allocating budget resources, coordinating business operations, managing operational costs, ensuring the business provides exceptional customer service, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. The General Manager’s primary focus will be building out a strong GTM function, maintain a strong connection with our customers, generate new business, increase staff productivity, improve our service levels and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Proven and demonstrated ability to engage with a technology userbase to build and execute a roadmap of value-generating enhancements and add-ons to create a winning result for all parties
Recognize opportunities for moat creation and product differentiation
Demonstrated competitive analysis and ability to implement attack plans on suitable competitors
Sales & Marketing Experience:
Building a GTM approach focused on the SMB space in one (or many) verticals
Investing in a variety of sales and marketing channels (social ads, SEO, conferences and etc) to deliver meaningful pipeline and revenue growth
Adding an embedded financial revenue stream (payments, lending, insurance) on top of the core software solution
Operational Management and P&L Ownership:
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective pipeline management, managing customer retention to enhance long-term growth and margins.
Take charge of the Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, implementing measures to enhance financial performance.
Software Expertise:
Leverage deep experience in managing software businesses to deliver organic and inorganic growth while sustaining high margins
Demonstrate a strong understanding of software economics and the need to grow recurring revenue streams and enhance customer lifetime value.
Analytical Decision-Making:
Employ a highly analytical and evidence-driven approach to decision-making in all areas from sales to professional services and from hiring to software development.
Utilise data and key performance indicators to inform strategic and operational decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a CEO or GTM leadership role within the software space
Career experience in managing sales and marketing functions focused on the SMB segment
Demonstrated success in managing a P&L and driving financial performance.
Willingness to do execution tasks while managing a small to mid-sized business
Highly analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
