Production Material Handler

The Material Handler’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials at our production facility. General responsibilities will include receiving, load, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records throughout the processes. The Material Handler will work closely with the packaging team, warehouse team, and Production Planner to organize and schedule loads between our brewery and our distribution center.

• Unloads trailers of raw and packaging materials as required for production.
• Loads trailers with finished goods palettes to be sent to the distribution center.
• Stages materials for the production and packaging teams.
• Verifies production counts prior to shipping.
• Takes accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing materials to/from the brewery.
• Organizes and optimizes the storage of materials on site.
• Reviews the daily production schedule and weekly plan.
• Works with the Production Planner and Logistics Supervisor to coordinate shipments of packaging materials to the brewery.
• Performs month-end inventory of materials located at the brewery.
• Performs all job functions safely, following all established safety guidelines and company policies and procedures.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience working in a production of packaging facility required.
• Works well independently and cooperatively with others.
• High attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate for seasonal production demands.
• Must have a clean DMV record.
  
  

Physical Demands

Time spent conducting sedentary work is less than 25%. Requires walking, standing, and/or driving for more than 75% of the workday. Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
