R&D Technical Sales Manager

Summary: Responsible for the R&D and technical sales functions for the company. Reviews and sets product development targets and tracks projects, via a comprehensive product development roster, that are innate or specific to the company's process capabilities. The functions are supported by industry leading R&D experience in the acidified and shelf stable food and beverage categories.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and performs detail R&D function in the development and commercialization of industry leading food and beverage products
• Assists with and performs the qualitative and quantitative analysis from the bench top to full commercialization of new products.
• Responsible for formulating and defining all Scheduled Process Authority criteria.
• Performs preliminary cost projections and analysis of all new food and beverage products
• Works with Sr. QA Manager to ensure that all new products are functional and process capable
• Stays current on market developments, industry trends, functional ingredients and principal competitor R&D activities

Preferred Skills:

• B. S. in Food Science based disciplines or a technically related field, M. S. preferred
• 10 to 15 years of experience in acidified and shelf stable food manufacturing highly preferred

Required Skills:

• Proficient in FDA and Food Safety regulatory requirements
• Proficient with Nutritional Labeling requirements
• Proficient with food and beverage chemistry
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products and Nutritional Labeling software systems
• Capable of evaluating and performing digitally related tasks.
• Superior abilities and analytically proficient in product formulation mathematics.
• Must have a professional appearance and be well-organized with good attention to detail
• Must exemplify a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
