Job Title: Senior Regression Test Engineer - Data Center GPU Remote Management

Overview

The Data Center GPU Remote Management team is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to set up, build, perform, and maintain automated testing infrastructure involving both hardware and software. This role will require on-site presence in our Austin lab for hardware setup, but remote work can be balanced with lab requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering and computer engineering, along with strong C coding experience, Python scripting knowledge, and firmware expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, build, execute, and maintain test infrastructure for remote management firmware.
• Develop automated test plans for various tests including sanity tests, black box tests, functional tests, and regression tests.
• Devise negative tests to proactively identify flaws and weaknesses in products.
• Setup hardware for remote/local test execution in the lab.
• Reproduce defects, validate defect fixes, and provide feedback to the design team.
• Integrate automated testing in CI/CD environment (e.g., Jenkins).
  
  

Required Skills

• Proven experience in test bench setup with expertise in embedded systems.
• Ability to read and interpret board schematics.
• Proficiency in Python, bash, and C/C++ programming languages in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience in PC/server hardware and software setup and administration.
• Familiarity with embedded protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, PCIe, TCP/IP, etc.
• Basic networking skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software and test development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in test bench setup and development.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with Out Of Band management of servers and data center components.
• Knowledge of industry standard protocols like IPMI FRU, MCTP, PLDM, Redfish, etc.
• Familiarity with microcontroller architecture (ARM, x86) and embedded system build tool suites.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD systems like git, Jenkins.
• Mentoring skills.
• Experience with Graphics and BMC is a plus.
  
  

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
