Safety Intern

Halff is seeking a Safety Intern to join our team and assist in ensuring the safety of our employees and workplace, in our Richardson, TX office. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of OSHA regulations, the ability to research safety questions as needed, and some experience with drafting and updating written safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administering a fleet safety program
• Identify safety training needs and assist with developing training materials
• Conduct safety audits and inspections
• Assist in investigating accidents and incidents
• Assist in drafting and updating written safety policies
• Research safety questions as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent degree.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Ability to research safety questions as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
