As Director of Sales, you will lead the charge in executing innovative Metal Fabrication sales strategies for the Off-Highway market segment. Location

Hybrid, based in Southeast Wisconsin/Northern Illinois with 25% overnight travel.


Compensation

Compensation comprises a lucrative Base Salary, Bonus, STI/LTI, 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, Tuition Reimbursement


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue and growth targets.
  • Analyze sales metrics and data to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas needing improvement.
  • Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities within existing accounts and among prospective clients.
  • Conduct customer visits and manufacturing facility tours as required.
  • Act as a primary point of contact to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account information in the CRM system.
  • Provide management with regular reports on market segment sales performance, sales pipeline, and market trends.
  • Utilize sales data and customer feedback to pinpoint improvement areas and devise growth strategies.
  • Manage a full range of managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, employee development, work planning and direction, EEO/AA compliance, performance management, and budget oversight.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including leading projects of varying scale or scope.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of professional sales experience to the Heavy Equipment, Off-Highway, Ag, and/or Commercial Vehicle market and current relationships with these key OE customers.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team of Sales Professionals in the above-mentioned industries.
  • Extensive Metal Fabrication or other Metals Manufacturing experience.
  • The ability to connect with and effectively sell to Engineers.
  • Proven history of consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, including experience in developing and coaching team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the capacity to devise innovative solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively interacting with customers at all levels.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools. Microsoft Dynamics is ideal.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineered components and a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to do 25% overnight travel, mostly in the Midwest U.S.
