Sales Engineer – Power Distribution Equipment


Our client, a leading independent manufacturer of custom electrical distribution and power quality solutions in North America, specializes in delivering tailored products to meet the evolving power needs of industries worldwide. This role presents an exciting opportunity within a dynamic and expanding organization!


Primary responsibility will be driving the sales of power distribution products (such as MV/LV Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards) through direct channels. This involves cultivating and managing relationships with medium to large Electrical Contractor accounts and engaging with key end user clients. The ideal candidate will excel in creating comprehensive project quotations that encompass all necessary products to fulfill the customer's requirements. This position is based remotely.


Requirements:

- Degree in Engineering or strong technical experience

- 5-10 years of experience in selling power distribution equipment, with expertise in MV/LV switchgear/switchboards. Experience in the Data Center market is advantageous.

- Proven track record in negotiating medium to large project orders, establishing new connections, maintaining relationships with major contractors, and maximizing client potential.

- Ability to develop accurate project proposals using MV/LV switchgear and complementary products to present a complete bid package.

- Self-motivated with a high level of professionalism, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in presentation and negotiation.

- Build positive relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client accounts.

- Thorough understanding and articulation of the client's purchasing process.

- Identify and pursue revenue opportunities within designated accounts.

- Address and fulfill client challenges and requirements by leveraging personal and internal resources to craft proposals that exceed expectations.

- Follow the client's buying journey to respond commercially and present proposals effectively.

- Maintain oversight of all commercial engagements to ensure customer satisfaction and vendor performance.

- Possess in-depth knowledge of the client's business, commercial landscape, structure, strategy, operations, and challenges to articulate opportunities, growth, and risks.

- Demonstrate expertise in products, services, general business practices, structure, strategy, and operations to convey value to the client's business.

- Provide account-specific guidance and insights to internal stakeholders and functional departments to enhance their contributions and add value to the client.
