Regional Sales Manager

Location for this role is Inside/Outside – Charlotte, NC with travel within the same area

Compensation $110-120k+bonus + excellent benefits.

Our client is looking for Sales Engineer with desire of a long term position with a Manufacturer's Representative company serving the municipal and industrial water and wastewater markets as well as the power market. This position will become a partner in the company in about 3 years. The Sales Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and contractors will create sales and provide solutions to clients, and will assist consulting and project engineers in constructing specifications, Bidding, Price, Delivery, and Order Terms.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Ambition to achieve technical competency in represented products.

Drive to empathetically engage with clients and contractors and work to discover their needs and processes.

Develop and maintain relationships with partners through meetings, telephone calls, and digital communication. Prospect for new clients.

Create sales and marketing strategies targeting clients and positioning Heyward as the preferred solution. Promote solutions, which include manufacturer’s equipment and Heyward’s added value, to match customer pain/requirements.

Liaison between principals and existing/potential clients.

Effective communication (written and verbal) with all parties involved: employees, contractors, owners, consulting engineers, and principals, managing technical responses.

Identify areas to improve client satisfaction and repeat business, communicating possible solutions to management.

Collect and document competitive intelligence.

Frequent travel within North/South Carolina.

Negotiation: Assist consulting and project engineers construct specifications, Bidding, Price, Delivery, Order Terms.

Manage multiple engineering projects in the Water and Wastewater market.

Cooperate with co-workers to gain industry knowledge, learn company culture, build relationships, team-up to execute job and project requirements.

Self-review: meet revenue goals and reflect on performance to exceed targets. Work Experience &

Requirements:

Professional Engineering Registration.

Possess a thorough understanding of municipal water and wastewater treatment systems and the equipment necessary to perform enhanced treatment.

5+ years’ experience.

Project Management experience.

Hydraulic design experience and knowledge of pump and valve systems.

Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.

Education Requirements:

Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree

Master’s degree in engineering a plus.
