Take on a unique opportunity: recruit for a company that builds tools for recruiters. We understand recruiting like no other company - we’ve had countless hours of user research and conversations to learn about the joys and challenges of recruiters, who are too often undervalued and under-appreciated. Our hiring philosophy is all about collaboration and you’ll be at the helm of our company’s most strategic effort, focusing on the most critical measure of the organizational-wide success: sales and growth.

Your primary responsibility will be partnering with our sales leadership and sales recruiter to drive our hiring efforts and to help us hit aggressive growth goals. We’re talking really aggressive. You know the typical portfolio of recruiter (reviewing resumes, phone screens, coordinating interviews, and managing offers). This time though, you’ll be in a place where everyone from top to bottom, across all teams, take hiring seriously. The whole team will fully support you and more than ever, you’ll have more agency to drive and create hiring initiatives the way you envision it.

And if you’re interested, help us build a community around Lever’s user base of recruiting professionals – organize events, run meetups, attend conferences – and step up to be a visible, public member of our team.

In terms of what we’re looking for, past tenure at a hyper-growth startup is ideal. You should be data-driven and passionate about constant improvement, with a “whatever it takes to get it done” attitude. Hopefully you consider yourself a competitive person - the top talent you’re working with will be, and you’ll be fighting other companies for them! Most important of all is understanding of people: perspectives/motivation of candidates and ability to connect people to right opportunities, as well as using your people skills to partner with hiring managers in meeting growth goals.

Within 1 month, you'll...

  • Be fully integrated into the sales team and start developing relationships with hiring managers to understand roles and talent needs through one-on-ones, training, and diving into the pipeline
  • Learn from our sales recruiter the Lever talent bar, the interview process, and how we hire; shadow two weeks' worth of calls and interviews
  • Learn the unique art of impact descriptions--not job descriptions--that we use at Lever. We’re innovators in the hiring space, and we practice what we preach; build your own mock impact description to show us what you've learned
  • Learn the product - you’re going to use Lever to hire for Lever! Be familiar with our pipeline and Lever Nurture (you'll be using both daily!): successfully navigate to each part of the pipeline, schedule your own interviews, create candidate profiles, and much more
  • Dive into sourcing to seek out, engage, and nurture relationships with top sales talent: you'll use LinkedIn, Entelo, and other sourcing platforms and technologies to help you along the way
  • Own your first wave of candidates from first touch point to rounding out the final steps of the interview process

Within 3 months, you'll...

  • Perfect the Lever pitch - you can talk to anyone about our opportunities and get them pumped; you'll be the first point of contact in building your pipeline.Be the ultimate juggler in managing a talent pipeline and not letting a single ball drop: source, screen, guide candidates through the interview process, all while making sure no part of your pipeline runs dryPartner with our sales recruiter to revise one impact description based on your learnings from the past three monthsDrive decisions within hiring committees and take on the challenge of closing people who are masters at closing themselves; hire your first candidatesUse data and your own instincts to identify inefficiencies and innovate / improve: you'll have the ability to influence and drive change and process improvement through use of Lever Hire and our homegrown reporting

Within 6 months, you'll...

  • Own a flawlessly positive and empowering candidate experience: ensure that candidates always know where they're at in the process, giving timely updates, and communicating expectations and results to all candidatesBe completely at home as a critical member of the sales team, with a deep understanding of the team’s talent needs and staying one step ahead of the growth; attend your first sales kick off to learn more about the team and gather highlights to fold into your Lever pitchProvide feedback to sales leadership and interviewers as to what's working, what's not, and ideas for what to changePartner with other sales recruiter to deliver an interviewer training based on what you've noticed about your candidates and interviewers

Within 12 months, you'll...

  • Help scale out our sales recruiting org, be ready to step up into greater responsibilities, including mentorship and interviewing
  • Partner with the rest of the team in onboarding incoming sales recruiters
  • Continue to provide insightful feedback to our Product and Engineering team about our product--you're the perfect user
