BGSF, Finance & Accounting has partnered with a rapidly growing upstream Oil & Gas company in search of a Senior Accountant. This is a newly created position offering direct mentorship from the Controller. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and operational accounting. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounting, including fixed assets and accruals
Add assistance to annual audits and collaborate with other internal employees
Other ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of professional accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
2+ years of Upstream Oil & Gas experience is required
Working knowledge of BOLO ERP systems would be a huge plus
Ability to problem solve and provide resolutions
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
