About the Role


The Senior Consultant role is a key member of the BuiltWorlds Advisory Services team. You will meet with BuiltWorlds members and other prospective clients and be the main point of contact for Advisory Services clients. You will also build relationships and coordinate advisory mandates with the Senior Advisory Partners within the BuiltWorlds network. You will help track and respond to proposal requests for our clients; execute project work for various engagement types; and work closely with the BuiltWorlds research team and Advisory Partners during engagements. Projects will include a wide variety of work with Architecture, Engineering, and Construction companies in areas including innovation, technology, strategic investing and data. In this role, you will help build an internal team and external relationships.


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a critical member for BuiltWorlds Advisory Services projects from RFP identification and creation through analysis, solution design, implementation, and closeout.
  • Manage and allocate advisory project scopes to the BuiltWorlds research team and the appropriate Advisory Partners.
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Facilitate meetings and working sessions with clients and prospective clients.
  • Organize and prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for client deliverables.
  • Liaise with the BuiltWorlds research team to incorporate synergistic data and insights from broader BuiltWorlds offerings.
  • Lead workshops and discovery sessions with clients to ideate and conceptualize innovative solutions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the AEC industry.
  • Assess clients' current processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal development, client presentations, and relationship-building activities.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of management consulting, advisory, or professional services experience.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully working on large, complex consulting engagements, including roles that involved managing and interfacing with senior-level client executives.
  • Experience in the AEC industry would be an advantage. 
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who can operate independently in a newly established part of the operation.
  • Ability to travel to fulfill client requirements and project needs.
