Our client is one of the largest and well-established leading Automation & Controls System Integrators currently operating in the US. They are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join their team and lead projects delivering controls & automation solutions to customers operating in the life sciences sector.

Working on projects that range in size & complexity, you will use your experience to deliver solutions, take a lead role in projects whilst remaining hands on in the design, integration, commissioning and validation of automation systems.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Senior Controls Engineer will be varied however the key duties & responsibilities are as follows:

• Development of control system architecture, selecting the components to be used, detailing schematic diagrams and system documentation, programming controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU), programming the process visualization (HMI/SCADA), developing databases for archiving/displaying historical system data
• In-depth understanding of PLC hardware/software platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Modicon
• In-depth understanding of DCS hardware/software platform such as Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell PlantPAx, or similar
• Proven experience with all phases of automation projects including programming, conceptual, basis of design, implementation, testing, start-up and commissioning of Process Control System (PCS), SCADA, and DCS in the Life Science industry

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Project Lead - Senior Controls Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile & past history:

• Extensive hands on experience with PLC based systems & DeltaV DCS (Must have experience with both)
• Life Science industry experience
• Hands on work in the design, integration, commissioning & validation of Automation systems
• Experience mentoring & training
• Ability to travel 25%
