Roles and Responsibilities:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading financial institution, for the role of Credit Analyst. The primary function of the Credit Analyst is to serve as the main loan operations contact for approximately 25-35 clients with asset-based loans.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all borrowers. Assist borrowers by answering questions and resolving problems promptly. Typical queries may include billing, availability, borrowing, or other system update requirements (e.g., advance rate update via appraisal, change in sublimit or commitment).
Post-Loan Closing Review: Perform a comprehensive review of the relationship post-loan closing. This includes a review of the loan agreement and field exam, and confirmation of deal tickler set up.
Client Resource Guide: Draft and maintain the Client Resource Guide for all assigned accounts. Assist with loan onboarding to ensure a smooth process for new clients.
Collateral Reporting: Monitor the timeliness and completeness of the client’s collateral reporting. Verify authorized signatures on reports and advise the Credit Risk Manager of any reporting inadequacies or issues. Work under the Credit Risk Manager’s direction to resolve these problems with the borrower.
Borrowing Base Certificate: Review, analyze, reconcile, and post the borrowing base certificate and/or sales and collection reports along with supporting documentation. Confirm the value of the borrower’s collateral, availability, and the collateral system. Calculate ineligibles and reconcile collateral to aging's, perpetual and financial statements, or ledgers.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Loan IQ experience is ideal – currently on ACE System and moving to ICE
Research Skills: Proficiency in researching loan information and ensuring proper financial information is obtained from the applicant.
Attention to Detail: Ability to perform detailed reviews and analysis, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the loan process.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, reports, and collateral to make informed decisions.
Problem-Solving: Ability to promptly address and resolve client issues related to loans and collateral.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with clients and colleagues.
