Job Title: Sr. Engineer, Security Operations and Engineering

Client Overview: Vernovis is partnering with a leading company find a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Engineer, Security Operations and Engineering.
What You'll Do:
Lead technical efforts and provide advisement across all IT security operations and monitoring aspects.
Understand and integrate various security tools, working closely with SMEs to optimize processes.
Perform IT security assessments and remediation activities, ensuring adherence to security policies and standards.
Provide security guidance through project participation, offering SME-level security guidance on all projects with a security impact, serving as a technical escalation point for all security team alerts, incidents, and concerns.
Make recommendations on toolsets, process improvement modifications, and production IT security support.
Participate in security incident response activities and daily security operational tasks.
What Experience You'll Have:
7-8 years of experience in cybersecurity.
Strong background in threat management, SOC leadership, and cloud security.
Proficiency in SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, encryption, and vulnerability management.
Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills.
Proven ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
What Experience is Nice to Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Industry experience in manufacturing, software development, or game development.
Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CSIM, CCSP, OCSP.
Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and familiarity with major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
