Overview:

We’re excited to add a Home Textile Designer to our team in Midtown Manhattan. Reporting to our Design Director, you’ll work in a creative, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for all design aspects of our omni-channel bedding division.


You are a great fit for this position if you enjoy owning all design aspects of a growing bedding line and love to bring creative ideas to market.


We currently operate on a hybrid schedule, which is subject to change.


Responsibilities:

Brand Champion:

  • Act as a brand champion for the everyday bedding line, overseeing the creation of product designs, fabrication, artwork, and tech packs.
  • Responsible for maintaining the brand's overall aesthetic, materials, and messaging.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to develop and merchandize collections.
  • Analyze new trends in the market, finding brand-right opportunities


Creative Design:

  • Sketch and create designs for bedding, focusing on comforters, quilts, duvets, and throw blankets.
  • Sketch and create innovative new ideas for home accessories such as decorative pillows.
  • Innovate and develop new ideas for products to be sold in-store and online.


Technical Aspects:

  • Create and review tech packs, ensuring all details are clear and accurate.
  • Work closely with PM/Sourcing on sampling, fabric sourcing, and pricing.
  • Track, follow up, and review samples for comments and approvals
  • Maintain sample standards
  • Clear knowledge of product construction.


Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with a global team, attending morning and evening meetings as needed.
  • Follow up with vendors and other external partners with clear and consistent language.
  • Work closely with the sales team on offline channel strategies, line planning, and creating line sheets and other presentation documents.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in fashion, design, or art.
  • More than 3 years of experience in textiles, preferably home.
  • Solid understanding of textile design and development process.
  • Strong imagination, innovation ability, and creative thinking.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
