My client, a large automotive electrical connector manufacturer, with a large division in Asia, has an immediate need for a SR HR Business Partner. The client is looking for a US based HR professional who wants to relocate back to Japan. Relocation assistance will be provided. The main office is in Kawasaki Japan. The candidate will be based there but will need to travel in Asia approximately 15% of the time.

The company is looking for global talent that can help drive a global culture in Asia.

The successful candidate will have preferably operated within a large and complex Tech/Manufacturing company, developed strong appreciation of leading through influence, brings enterprise mindset, able to operate within a fast pace, complex and dynamic environments and navigate through uncertainties and ambiguities.


This is a role for an HR Partner that operates successfully in a matrix, is a strong networker and relationship builder and is not concerned by the reporting lines.


The role also requires HR Partner to coach business leaders on driving their own and team development, shape the organization culture, introduce new ways of working and drive strong commitment to employee engagement, inclusion and diversity.


S/he will be a seasoned professional with at least 8 years of experience leading country HR business partnering roles within a heavily matrix multinational organizations.

✓ Track record of driving HR process digitalization

✓ Experience in manufacturing environments.

✓ Experience working as HRBP in multinational companies where there is a matrix organization.

✓ Pragmatic Approach - Applies a simple logical approach to find solutions while minimizing complexity.

Candidates must be openminded and flexible to directional strategic changes. Company has high people standards and moves quickly

Targeted compensation will be $110k to $120k . Position will report to Plant leadership with dotted line to HR.
