Job Description:

The Senior Information Security Engineer role is crucial in managing and protecting the enterprise's information security landscape. The engineer will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks involving cloud security, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and managing security tools and infrastructure. This role demands excellent communication skills, as the engineer will collaborate with both internal and external teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and participate in information security projects and daily operations.
• Conduct continual assessments of cloud environments and provide recommendations.
• Manage and monitor the SASE/CASB solutions.
• Investigate security-related events, including malware and phishing attacks.
• Assist with computer forensic and eDiscovery requests.
• Follow up on alerts from user-reported emails, SIEM solutions, and/or IPS.
• Manage and monitor the EDR solution and respond to threats.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
• Mentor other information security team members.
• Assess current information security programs and recommend improvements.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of IT work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Nexpose, Qualys, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience managing an EDR in an Enterprise environment.
• 2+ years of cloud-based infrastructure experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with and managing a SASE/CASB solution.
• Deep understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong business acumen and technology knowledge.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
• Strong team player capable of working across multiple functions.
• Good listener and collaborator.
• Clear and concise communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Experience with vulnerability scanners.
• Experience in computer forensics and eDiscovery.
• Coding experience in any scripting/coding language (e.g., PowerShell, .NET, C/C++, etc.).
