Role Overview

As the Senior Manager of Revenue, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our revenue accounting processes. This isn't just a leadership position—it's an opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, foster innovation, and lead a high-performing team. You'll ensure meticulous adherence to revenue recognition policies, manage day-to-day operations, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate new business models. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for order processing, revenue recognition, deal structuring, billing, collections, and accounting for revenue, receivables, and deferred commissions.
  • Review complex software deals for accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, providing critical insights to sales and legal teams during contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with legal, sales, operations, and finance to assess new licensing or subscription models, evaluating their impact on revenue recognition and communicating key risks.
  • Manage the order processing team to ensure efficient order fulfillment and accuracy.
  • Oversee accounting for deferred commissions under ASC 340 and manage accounts receivable activities including forecasting, billing, and collections.
  • Actively participate in monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain and update internal control documentation for order processing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable, supporting audits and compliance efforts.
  • Partner with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and federal contracting requirements impacting revenue recognition practices.
  • Prepare detailed financial statement disclosures and management reports, including bookings, backlog, and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue).
  • Monitor industry and regulatory changes, developing and implementing new processes and policies as needed.
  • Calculate standalone selling price ranges and collaborate with sales teams to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in reviewing and automating processes within a new accounting system implementation.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned to support organizational goals.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the technology industry.
  • 3+ years of management experience overseeing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP in revenue recognition, within a software environment. Expertise in ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Solutions-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and guide diverse teams.
  • Ability to perform in-depth research on complex technical accounting matters and summarize conclusions effectively.
  • Experience with Federal contracts is preferred.
  • Proficiency with various applications; experience with Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, Xactly CEA, and SQL a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$138,464.46-196,248.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
