Senior Tutor/Spanish Mentor

ESM Prep is seeking a Spanish-specific mentor who is comfortable with and experienced with general high school-level Spanish curriculum (Spanish 1/2/3+) and AP Spanish (both language and literature courses). Familiarity with the IB structure/curriculum is preferred.

Job Description.

This tutor/mentor will assist students one-on-one in high school Spanish (all levels), AP Spanish Language and Literature, and ideally IB Spanish; as well as mentoring students through their overall high school academic journey.

We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree‍
• Prior experience teaching or tutoring Spanish Language and Literature
• Must be able to tutor in-person 2 to 3 times a week in Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and/or Santa Monica
• Ability to work 40 hours a month or more
• Additional expertise in high school subjects is always a plus, as well as an interest in future SAT/ACT test prep training
• Available part-time. Tutoring usually occurs on weekday evenings (after 3pm) and/or on weekends. The typical work schedule is Sunday-Thursday. Although the majority of the work is online, you must be available for in-person tutoring in students' homes
• Available to tutor through June 2025 or longer

• $60/hour academic tutoring and $70/hour test prep rate
