This role is within the Non-legal team of Claims Vendor Management. The position is responsible for vendor management activities related to Workers Compensation claims in North America. The Claims Vendor Manager position will also operate across other lines of business providing full lifecycle vendor management support. In partnership with business stakeholders and key internal support partners, the objective is to maximize the performance of vendor relationships through the establishment of rigorous metrics and service standards, and to drive cost savings across all spend areas.
Key Responsibilities Include
Support the business discipline in management of all vendor relationships
Own the development and execution of the category vendor management plan
Maintain an in-depth understanding of market and vendor capabilities to identify new opportunities including technology solutions that improve the discipline’s capabilities
Lead vendor sourcing and contracting initiatives for the business disciplines including competitive bidding, contract extensions / renewals, enhanced scope of service and vendor termination
Work with the business discipline to manage compliance with all Vendor Management Program requirements
Ensure appropriate vendor performance measures are in place and actively applied throughout the lifecycle of the vendor relationship
Partner with the business discipline to establish management reporting metrics and scorecards to track category performance and identify areas for improvement
Support identification, registration, prioritization and resolution of vendor risk and incident items

The preferred candidate brings a high level of technical experience in vendor management and claims processing. The candidate will need to be able to look at the current use of vendors and develop future state utilization and continued process improvement in collaboration with the business discipline to maximize the benefits of engaging vendors. The candidate will work closely with key business stakeholders and Vendor Management Data Analyst to establish long-term vision for Claims Vendor Management strategy and build analytics roadmap to prioritize opportunities, allocate resources and execute on vision.
The key focus will be to balance cost, quality and service, drive performance, customer satisfaction and cost management. As the role will work closely within the discipline, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills will be critical.
