The SEO Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing our client’s online presence and search engine rankings. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of quality assurance for the company’s site content and make significant contributions to SEO performance. The SEO Specialist will identify opportunities for improvement and implement fixes, ensuring optimal site health and compliance with accessibility standards.
The SEO Specialist will:
Load blog posts and other content onto websites.
Monitor SEO errors, health site reports, and general audits, implementing fixes as needed.
Take ownership of quality assurance for the company's site content.
Monitor SEO performance and data reporting to keep leadership informed.
Identify "striking distance" and missed SEO opportunities.
Compress and optimize images.
Ensure all sites are broadly compliant with ADA accessibility standards.
Review third-party sites for authority and brand relevance.
Essential Skills:
Basic knowledge of technical SEO, including header tags, broken links, internal linking, image size, canonicalization, pagination, XML sitemaps, etc.
Some experience with SEO software platforms, especially Google Search Console.
Experience with content management tools, particularly WordPress (Elementor is a plus).
Basic knowledge of HTML.
