Sr Business Intelligence Engineer

ONSITE / 145-150K / AZURE - SQL - SSIS/SSRS - Power BI

The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL development, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, and Azure, and will be adept at transforming complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Development: Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• ETL Processes: Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to ensure accurate and timely data integration from various sources.
• Reporting: Create and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI, providing clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support BI and analytics initiatives.
• Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all BI solutions, implementing data quality checks and audits as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Azure: Utilize Microsoft Azure services for data storage, processing, and analytics, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant services.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions to ensure efficient data processing and timely report generation.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI processes, solutions, and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in SQL development, with a strong focus on SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, and Azure.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL Server and advanced SQL query development.
• Extensive experience with SSIS for ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of SSRS for report development and maintenance.
• Expertise in Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
