We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as a Sr. Sales Representative for our Performance Products Division located in the United States. This position will report to the Sales Manager for USA & Canada.

Job Scope

As a Sales Representative, you will be accountable for growing sales at existing and new accounts within the assigned sales territory by conveying deep product knowledge, the advantages of Huntsman products and services, and an appreciation of customer’s needs and business. This position is remote based in the United States.

As The Sr. Sales Representative You Will

  • Be accountable for growing profitable sales via the full sales process (identify, qualify, quote, close, develop and grow) This includes achieving sales budget.
  • Lead and drive account plans, budget and forecasts to deliver the agreed strategic objectives of value and profit for the territory.
  • Negotiate prices with prospective accounts and manage pricing and contracts at current customers.
  • Establish and maintain customer contacts at all levels (R&D, sales, production, and marketing) to maximize Huntsman opportunities for new business.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Technical team members to deliver the service levels defined by the agreed upon business strategy for accounts.
  • Work closely with Marketing to drive closure on key marketing initiatives in the territory.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable to minimize account-base overdues in line with business objectives.
  • Proactively plan and execute prospecting calls to gain new customers and, after the sale, provide a high level of service with a focus on maximizing growth.
  • Utilize C4C sales tools for timely call reports and lead tracking.
  • EHS and safety focused individual

Required Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Engineering/ Business with 3+ years specific experience in sales for chemical industry.
  • Willingness to travel within the region that will be eventually assigned (+-20%) as this role is fully remote.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Good knowledge of specialty and intermediate chemical sales and markets would be HIGHLY desirable
  • Ability to group / comprehend relevant technical knowledge.
  • Results focused and self-motivated/resilient/high tenacity.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Able to interact with various teams & departments at different levels
  • Flexible, Team player and can do/positive attitude
  • Strong follow up and relationship building skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in chemical sales, contract negotiation, opportunity management.
