Hybrid role

Due to tremendous growth, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will assist in various accounting functions including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable, month-end closing, balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

This is an entry level position and will directly report to the Senior Regional Controller. Role And Responsibilities

  • Review AP invoices to ensure accurate ledger coding
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
  • Prepare and reconcile bank accounts as assigned
  • Prepare and record approved journal entries as assigned
  • Resolve reconciling items through research and initiate adjustments as needed
  • Participate in financial statements review and prepare financial reporting packages
  • Research and investigate accounting and hotel operation inquiries as assigned
  • Assist with process improvement and automation projects
  • Provide support on ad hoc projects

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business or Finance experience
  • 1+ years of experience in multi-unit real estate / hospitality accounting preferred
  • Strong software skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level in Excel preferred)
  • Good understanding of GAAP concepts
  • Collaborative team player who is focused, self-motivated, detailed oriented, accurate and flexible – able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Willing to perform business enhancing functions that are outside the normal scope of work
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Display analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Exemplary communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality requirements
